1. Get hot from 3-point range

This has been a problem for Toronto all season long, as VanVleet’s exploits from beyond the arc have obscured the fact that this team lacks many consistent shooters. OG Anunoby and Gary Trent Jr. are exceptional, but those two can only do so much against a deep team like Philly.

The Raptors’ offense got bailed out by Siakam in Game 4. Toronto was just 8-34 from beyond the 3-point line, and Trent had three of those makes by himself. With Matisse Thybulle returning to action in Philly, an already tall task got even tougher.

The Toronto Raptors must be better as a team from deep.

Trent was struggling with his illness early in this series, but he looked reinvigorated in Toronto. Anunoby wasn’t great in Game 4 until the end of the contest, but he couldn’t miss from deep in Game 3. They’ll need to be on top of their game with VanVleet potentially injured.

VanVleet is second in the league in 3-pointers made per game behind Steph Curry. Losing an average of just under four made 3-balls per contest is not going to be easy to replace, but Toronto’s two starters and standout Sixth Man Achiuwa must answer the call.
