The Toronto Raptors avoided a sweep at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers, but they still face very long odds when it comes to securing a series win. The latest Raptors odds don’t paint them in the best light, as they are predicting a quick exit that sends them home for the rest of the playoffs.

Toronto may have prevented Joel Embiid from dominating due to his injury woes while seeing the return of Scottie Barnes, but it will take quite an effort from this defense to slow down Embiid, James Harden, and the rest of this offense three games in a row.

Luckily for Toronto, some unusual lineup combinations and a renewed focus on making sure that the irritated Embiid did not get to the free-throw line did wonders for them in a Game 4 victory. Nick Nurse will try to replicate that win in Game 5 with no room for error.

Will Toronto be able to once again show the 76ers they are capable of winning this series? Will the 76ers finish off Pascal Siakam and the rest of the team while moving to the second round behind a dominant performance from their stars?

Philadelphia 76ers vs Toronto Raptors Odds, Spread, Over/Under

The over-under in this contest is 209.5, with the under coming in at -108 and the over listed at -108.

Raptors Injury Report

Fred VanVleet has been ruled questionable with a strained hip flexor.

Toronto Raptors vs Philadelphia 76ers Prediction

Toronto does not have VanVleet healthy, but the 76ers will go into this series with Embiid limited by a crippling injury as well. With neither of their stars at full strength, Nurse’s squad might be able to start strong and take an early advantage in Philly.

The 76ers have proven to be a tough out thanks to names like Tyrese Maxey making life hell for Toronto’s collection of youngsters, but Game 4 showed that the formula for beating this Philadelphia team is there. The Raptors could take advantage and set up a Game 6.

However, Philly’s collection of stars playing at home could be too difficult for Toronto to overcome.
