Raptors fans roast Goran Dragic after laughing at Toronto’s exit
By Mike Luciano
I really wish that Goran Dragic didn’t keep interjecting his name into Toronto Raptors news. However, the Croatian veteran opened his mouth once again after Toronto’s season came to a close following their defeat against the Philadelphia 76ers. He was just giddy watching the Raptors lose.
There is no shame in losing how the Raptors lost. After going down 3-0 against Joel Embiid and James Harden, Toronto managed to win two straight games and force a Game 6. A young team ran out of gas late, but that’s nothing to be ashamed about.
Dragic himself can’t claim to have earned much postseason glory this year, as he joined a Nets team that was swept out of the first round. Even though Dragic participated in as many playoff wins as everyone reading this post did this year, he still thought it was fair to poke the bear and irritate Raptors fans.
Dragic posted a string of laughing emojis after Toronto’s early exit from the postseason was confirmed. This is pretty tough talk from a guy who hasn’t won a playoff game in the last two seasons. Dragic was not spared from the ire of Raptors fans, who lashed out at their former backup.
Toronto Raptors fans were not happy with Goran Dragic.
Dragic, who averaged 7.3 points per game on 38% shooting for the Nets, was accused of ring-chasing after failing to capture a title with Miami. Even though he hand-picked his destination to fulfill the “higher ambitions” he had, he still ended up getting knocked out of the postseason.
The fact that Dragic somehow thinks that losing 4-0 when you went into the season as the prohibitive favorite and losing 4-2 as an underdog are the same thing is hilarious. It sounds like someone is still a bit bitter that he isn’t beloved by Raptors fans.

The Raptors were starting Khem Birch in elimination games while the Nets started two future Hall of Famers in Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving. And yet Dragic dares to claim that what happened to him was less embarrassing? Come on!
The Nets completely caved after the Celtics kicked them right in the gut with their unique physical defense. The Raptors were able to battle back and win a few games. I know which team I’d rather be a part of.
Even though Pascal Siakam and the rest of the Raptors have gone above and beyond to make it seem like the divorce was not as messy as indicated, it’s become clear that Toronto and Dragic are like oil and water.
