84. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Kentucky. Shaedon Sharpe. SG. 4. player

No prospect in this draft at any position is riskier than Sharpe. After sitting out at Kentucky, Sacramento is left to wonder if grainy high school film from years ago will translate to the pros. If it does, the Kings can land an All-NBA talent at No. 4 overall.

Everything Sharpe has put on display shows that he is going to attack the basket with some jaw-dropping athleticism. After parting with Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield in the Domantas Sabonis trade, Sacramento is ready to start winning now. If they hold on to this pick, drafting a shooting guard to replace Haliburton is the way to go.

NBA Mock Draft: Is Shaedon Sharpe worth the risk?

SG. Purdue. player. 64. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Jaden Ivey. 5

He’s not an elite shooter just yet, but there’s a lot to like about Ivey. A tremendous slasher with defensive potential, Ivey will be an impact player as a rookie that takes over for Killian Hayes in the Detroit lineup. Even the best Big Ten defenders couldn’t corral the electric Boilermaker.

Between Ivey and Cade Cunningham, the Pistons are poised to leap out of the basement in the Eastern Conference if they can bring in some big-name free agents or trade targets. A three-headed monster of Ivey, Cunningham and a trade acquisition (like a Deandre Ayton) could be one heck of a core to lean on.

Scouting Report. PF. player. Pick Analysis. Iowa. Keegan Murray. 6. 100

Murray’s stats this year (23.5 points per game on 55% shooting, 8.7 rebounds, 39% from 3-point range) are so insane they look like something out of a video game. A 6-8 athlete with mobility and a sharp shooting touch, Murray has one of the highest floors in this class.

The Pacers appear to be angling towards a full-scale rebuild, and they need players they can build around. Indiana might be losing Myles Turner and TJ Warren in the offseason, making Murray an ideal candidate to step right in and instantly become a long-term building block.
