NBA Power Rankings: Are the Toronto Raptors performing well?
By Mike Luciano
10. Indiana Pacers
9. Sacramento Kings
8. New Orleans Pelicans
7. Denver Nuggets
6. Los Angeles Clippers
5. Utah Jazz
4. Cleveland Cavaliers
3. Phoenix Suns
2. Milwaukee Bucks
1. Boston Celtics
The Pacers and Kings are playing some of their best basketball in years, as these young teams are shooting their way to some potential playoff spots. Projected to be a Wembanyama frontrunner, Lauri Markkanen has made this Jazz team a legit playoff contender.
The Pelicans are continuing to show that this starting five is good enough to win games in the West, while the Clippers are soldiering on despite the Kawhi Leonard injury saga. The Nuggets have a might higher ceiling this year now that many of their top role players alongside Nikola Jokic are healthy.
NBA Power Rankings: The Toronto Raptors can’t catch the Celtics.
The Cavaliers may be the streakiest team in the league to this point (as shown in a loss to the Raptors), but they’re in the middle of one of their best stretches. That roster can be lethal, as is a Phoenix team that is watching Devin Booker emerge as the best shooting guard in the league as the victories pile up.
The two best teams in the league to this point appear to be Milwaukee and Boston, and the question of which is better comes down to personal preference. Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jayson Tatum both have MVP cases, and they will continue to subjugate the rest of the conference to some rough defensive evenings.
The Raptors have their work cut out for them!
