Raptors Game Tonight: Raptors vs 76ers Odds, Starting Lineup, Injury Report, Predictions, TV Channel for Dec. 19
By Mike Luciano
The Toronto Raptors have lost eight of their last 10 games and are on the verge of entirely falling out of the Eastern Conference postseason picture. The latest Raptors odds have that streak continuing, as Toronto is projected to get flattened by a division rival.
Not only do the Raptors have to play a contender in the Philadelphia 76ers on the second night of a back-to-back, but they’re doing so while Joel Embiid is playing what is likely the best basketball of his career. Averaging over 33 points per game, Embiid will feast against Nick Nurse’s team.
While Toronto beat Philly earlier in the season, the team that played like that is nowhere close to the product they put on the floor early in the season. Even squads with tons of injuries are coming into Toronto and picking up wins.
Will the Raptors defy the odds and figure out a way to somehow break their recent stretch of futility? Will the 76ers lean on Embiid against a beat-up Raptors frontcourt as they try to make themselves a more reputable contender in the Eastern Conference?
Philadelphia 76ers vs. Toronto Raptors Odds, Spread, Over/Under
The latest odds from FanDuel Sportsbook have Philadelphia as -8 favorites against the spread, with this squad -110 (bet $110 to win $100) to cover. Philly is -330 on the moneyline, while Toronto checks in at +265 (bet $100 to win $265).
The over-under is 220.5, with the over and the under both at -110.
Raptors Injury Report
Precious Achiuwa and Otto Porter Jr. are both out for this game, while O.G. Anunoby will be listed as questionable. Gary Trent Jr. is also questionable.
Toronto Raptors vs. Philadelphia 76ers Prediction
Even if Toronto had all of their best players in the game and the 76ers weren’t white hot at the moment, the squad faced some serious obstacles in front of them on their path to securing a victory in this game. For starters, is Christian Koloko really going to slow down Embiid?
Philly’s array of guards that can get buckets and defend well will make Toronto sweat on the perimeter. Unless Embiid magically has an off night and the lackluster perimeter defense tightens up, expect yet another loss to be added to the ledger for this bunch.
76ers 122, Raptors 110
