While the Clippers are in a very tough spot in terms of trading for an impact performer, as they parted ways with most of their draft capital during their pursuit of Paul George. Despite that, the Clippers seem to be of the mindset that John Wall and Reggie Jackson aren’t good enough to contend with.

Toronto may not have as much interest in either one of them in the short term. Rather, they could covet one of their young guards like Terance Mann. Veteran shooter Luke Kennard will be a quality addition for a Raptors team that remains near the bottom of the league in 3-point shooting.

Toronto Raptors trade rumors: The Clippers could use Fred VanVleet.

Both Kennard and Mann were mentioned as trade chips in LA’s Irving package, showing that the Clippers could be willing to get rid of both of them if a particular point guard was available. VanVleet has improved his play lately, so he is not a negative trade asset anymore.

Considering that Kawhi Leonard and Norman Powell are already in town (not to mention their brief flirtation with Serge Ibaka), this front office clearly values what Masai Ujiri put together with that 2019 championship team. The band could get fully back together in LA if VanVleet is traded for Kennard, Mann, and picks.
