Raptors vs Clippers injury report for March 8: Is Kawhi Leonard playing?
By Mike Luciano
The Toronto Raptors found themselves on the wrong end of more Scott Foster nonsense, as poor officiating put the nail in the coffin of their spirited effort against the Denver Nuggets. Rather than playing .500 ball, Toronto is just a half-game above the No. 10 seed in the Eastern Conference.
The Los Angeles Clippers have been one of the most difficult teams in the league to figure out. While Kawhi Leonard and Paul George have both been playing well and Russell Westbrook has been added to the mix, LA finds themselves dangerously close to slipping out of the playoff picture.
The health of the Clippers is always going to be a topic of discussion, as many of their best players have found it very difficult to stay on the court regularly. Even with a fully healthy roster, Ty Lue’s inconsistency might present an opportunity for Toronto to come out on top.
Is Fred VanVleet playing vs. Clippers?
VanVleet, who recently became a father for the third time, appears to be all good to go as a largely healthy squad gets ready to face off against the Clippers in their own building.
Is Kawhi Leonard playing vs. Raptors?
Leonard’s health will always be a topic of discussion, but the former Toronto star appears prepared to dodge those questions in this game. Leonard is going to suit up in this game, making Nick Nurse’s job that much harder.
Full Raptors injury report vs. Clippers:
VanVleet being healthy means that the only player who will be out for Toronto in this game will be Otto Porter Jr, who is out for the season due to a foot problem.
Full Clippers injury report vs. Raptors:
Leonard and George are ready to go, but former Raptors wing Norman Powell is going to sit this game out as he works his way back from a shoulder injury. After he dominated the Raptors in their first meeting this season, Toronto is probably very happy with this.
Raptors upcoming schedule and opponents:
Toronto will take on the Lakers in Los Angeles before coming back home to face Jokic and the Nuggets again, the upstart Thunder, and the suddenly hot Timberwolves.
March 10 @ Los Angeles Lakers
March 14 vs. Denver Nuggets
March 16 vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
March 18 vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
