Toronto’s last outing against the Charlotte Hornets appeared on paper to be just another cruising victory, but it ended up being a thrilling contest of hoops down the stretch. The Raptors raised their hands in victory at the end with a final score of 110-108.

While all five starters shined on the night, each recording double digits in scoring, the main star attractions of focus were undoubtedly Brandon Ingram and Scottie Barnes, who largely spearheaded the eventual victory.

As you run down the sheet and recognize some of the other standouts on November 17, it’s only fair to give a tip of the cap to Immanuel Quickley. He achieved his first double-double of the 2025-26 season with a stat line of 15 and 10. Quickley played 31 minutes against Charlotte, where he shot 6-for-11 from the field and 3-for-8 from three. He also contributed four assists and two steals in the winning affair.

Immanuel Quickley records first double-double of 2025-26 season

While hearing about this accomplishment for IQ isn't out of the ordinary, it does come as a bit of a surprise when you hear what other category hit double figures. Aside from scoring double digits, Quickley was locked in on the defensive glass, grabbing 10 rebounds. As a matter of fact, IQ led the entire Raptors squad in rebounds, with Jakob Poeltl next in line with nine boards, followed by the two stars Ingram and Barnes, who each had six boards.

This sets the benchmark as Quickley's season-high in rebounds so far, and it's quite a shock that IQ was able to reach 10 boards before he reached 10 assists, with eight assists in the 2025-26 season opener being his highest performance in that category to date. The last time that Quickley reached such a high rebounding stat was on April 5, 2024, where he nearly secured a triple-double of 25 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists.

It's great to see Immanuel Quickley finally hitting his stride this season. It comes at a very convenient time, too, as the Raptors are embarking on their best stretch of team basketball. Their unselfish brand of hoops is proving that it has real merit.

Quickley might not be known first and foremost as a passing guard, but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before he also hits the double-digit assists mark. His career high of 18 assists should be enough to show you that he can definitely pass the rock well when his vision is 20/20. But good on IQ for showing he can help out on the rebounding front for Toronto. Especially since the Raptors have been notorious this year for struggling to grab boards.
