1. Rui Hachimura, PF, Los Angeles Lakers

The Lakers are always ready to make a trade, even if names like Jalen Hood-Schifino will need to be moved to get something done. While JHS would be an enticing get, the Raptors' need for frontcourt skill might prompt them to see just how much the Lakers are tied to Hachimura in 2024-25.

Hachimura is averaging 11.1 points per game on 49% shooting and 38% from 3-point range, which is right on par with his career averages. With Chris Boucher on the trade block as well, Precious Achiuwa in New York, and Thad Young at the end of his career, the Raptors may need to add a stretch power forward.

Can the Toronto Raptors grab Rui Hachimura?

A bench consisting primarily of Hachimura, Dennis Schroder, Gradey Dick, and some of Toronto's top draft picks in the 2024 class could give the Raptors a surprisingly deep team that helps take some of the pressure off Scottie Barnes and the rest of the starting lineup.

The Raptors are clearly not interested in worrying about the post-LeBron James future, and Hachimura's flatlining scoring might be less attractive than a player like Brown coming in and being an immediate two-way player. Hachimura's solid shooting will be very welcome on the new-look, offense-first Raptors team.
