TORONTO, ON – MAY 03: Fred VanVleet #23 of the Toronto Raptors. /

Will the Raptors re-sign Fred VanVleet this offseason?

Jordan Skuse: Yes, 100 percent. As for the numbers I don’t know them off the top of my head but there is a ceiling as to what other teams can offer FVV and I’d be shocked if Toronto allowed him to leave under any circumstance (Lowry is aging and I prefer Fred to Delon personally). Expect Masai and Co. to “Bet on Fred”

Go Paolo: It depends how much he’s asking and if FVV can go to a team that will pay him a truckload to be a Sixth man or if he thinks he’s capable of being a starter. The price will probably be a bit too much and around the $10 million mark. Toronto is already projected to go around $126 million in salaries with the luxury tax at $130 million. Re-signing FVV should come cheap but after the great regular season he had, I doubt he’ll balk.

Mike Bossetti: Yes, at a reasonable cost. There is essentially no cap-space available this offseason thanks to the 2016 summer, so Fred’s number may surprise some people. I believe he will sign for around the mid-level exception, or in the $8-9 Million dollar range. For that number I believe the Raptors’ need to make sure to retain the asset and elite sixth-man.
