Pascal Siakam (PF)

Preseason Ranking: 140
Average Pick: 143.7
Current Ranking: 37

Let’s get one thing straight here: the Fantasy MVP is NOT the player who is ranked the highest, but the player who is produces the most relative to where he gets taken. And by this standard, Siakam beats the likes of Leonard and Ibaka.

There was a reason Raptors fans everywhere defended Siakam and didn’t want him traded even for Leonard. This season, we’re finally seeing what the 24-year-old Cameroonian is capable of.

Siakam is on the shortlist of Most Improved Player candidates. He has bumped up his stats from last season now averaging 14.8 points, 6.4 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.1 steals while shooting 63.6 percent from the field and 78.2 percent from the foul line.

Players who drafted Siakam in the last round or scooped him up from the waiver wire are reaping top-40 value rewards. Most impressively, Siakam is just getting started.

Siakam could still boost his defensive stats or hit more threes. He plays with a high motor and his long gangly frame makes him an adept defender. But even if he doesn’t his efficiency and upside make him the MVP, especially in dynasty formats.
