3. Toronto Raptors

The third-seed for the reigning champions is probably as high as one can conceivably put them this season. Though, saying that, third-seed doesn’t feel like a reach at all. Sure, the Raptors lost Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green this season but managed to extend Kyle Lowry and Pascal Siakam.

The Raptors are still a strong team, and this season will be Siakam’s first as the primary option on offense. Question marks remain surrounding his ability to deliver 20-plus points on a nightly basis, and those questions are fair, though after seeing Siakam excel on the biggest stage, it’s likely that he’ll perform just fine.

Spacing problems do exist for the Raptors though, and Nick Nurse has expressed frustration with some rotational pieces picked up this offseason. On the other hand, undrafted guard Terence Davis has been super impressive in a small window for the Raptors – hopefully, he can continue to impress and claim a spot in the rotation.

The Raptors certainly won’t be the same team as last season, but they’ll be fun to watch regardless.
