Andre Drummond

The name that comes up the most, especially recently, is Andre Drummond. The Detroit Pistons look almost certain to deal at the deadline now that Blake Griffin is out definitely, and that makes Drummond one of the hottest trade assets on the market.

He might not be the best fit overall for the Raptors, but it’s a certainty that he improves the Raptors in the rebounding department, and that’s what we’re zoning-in on right now. If there is anyone that’s going to make the Raptors a better rebounding team, it’s Andre Drummond, a.k.a, the best rebounder in the NBA.

Drummond currently leads the NBA in rebounds with 16.2 boards per game and leads all starting centers in rebounding percentage. He’s a force on both ends of the glass, leading in both defensive rebounds and offensive rebounds per game and would cure all the Raptors woes in that department.

The problem is whether or not the Toronto Raptors are ready to commit to him long-term. Drummond has a player option for $28,751,775 for next season and could well decline that in search of a longer deal. That means he could be commanding in excess of $25-30million annually.

Out of the three, Drummond is going to be the player you have to give up the most for. That means either Marc Gasol or Serge Ibaka plus add-ons, which is probably a first-round pick and maybe even more.

Next. Stock Take, plus Terence Davis turns it around. dark

In some respects, Nick Nurse is probbaly more than happy with Ibaka and Gasol in that department, but if he wants to make a change, this could be the route to go.
