Starter Grades

B+. Lowry finished second in team scoring, with 16 points. He struggled shooting the ball (6-14, 1-7 3pt) but was effective in other areas, something we’ve come to expect from #7 on nights where his shot is “broken”. Hard work on the offensive glass by Lowry in the game’s final moments won the ball for the visitors and essentially sealed Toronto’s seventh consecutive victory.. Point Guard. Toronto Raptors. KYLE LOWRY

A-. VanVleet cooled off from beyond the arc against the Spurs, going 3-10. Previously, over his last four games, VanVleet was shooting 65 percent from three-point land. Like Lowry, didn’t let ebbs and flows in shooting negatively affect his overall game; VanVleet grabbed four rebounds, seven assists and a game-high four steals. Hit a big three in crunch time and also sunk a pair of critical free throws in the game’s dying moments, all while playing the most minutes of any player (40).. Point Guard. Toronto Raptors. FRED VANVLEET

Toronto Raptors. OG ANUNOBY. B-. Another so-so performance by Anunoby. Reached double figures (10 points), a nice development considering he’d gone four games without doing so. Defensively, Anunoby continues to be a reliable and excellent defender, but it would be nice if he brought more on offence, and did so on a more consistent basis. Anunoby’s two made threes were his first in the last four games.. Small Forward

Toronto Raptors. PASCAL SIAKAM. A. A superb outing, though, it fell short of an A+ grade because 25 of Siakam’s 35 points came in the first quarter. Siakam was on fire in the opening 12 minutes, but then scored a total of 10 points the rest of the way and was largely ineffective in the second half when the Raptors needed him most. Still, this was a positive performance from Siakam and will certainly provide him with a confidence boost.. Power Forward

Another do-it-all performance from the big man in the middle, as Gasol finished Sunday’s win with eight points, 12 rebounds, and five assists in 36 minutes. He was effective on defence, helping the Raptors limit <a rel=. Center. Toronto Raptors. MARC GASOL. B+
