1. Starting center

The Raptors are currently starting Pascal Siakam at the center spot when everyone is healthy. Part of that is the fact that none of the other four starters have played poorly enough to warrant a benching, but Toronto doesn’t have a ton of viable options that could slide into the starting lineup.

Achiuwa has been inconsistent, Birch lacks the offensive versatility and quality Toronto needs, and Boucher has regressed. With their defense rebounding numbers in the dumps once again and their interior defense struggling, Ujiri would do well to potentially add a player here and provide some depth.

The Toronto Raptors are struggling to find a backup center.

They could decide to peruse the free agent market for a cheaper option, or they could swing a trade for a big man that could provide some long-term relief. A mega move for a player like Myles Turner can’t be ruled out considering where the team is at in the standings right now.

Toronto has been leaning on some generally solid play from Siakam, but the lack of muscle in the paint is coming back to bite them in the butt in a noticeable fashion. Toronto needs someone to come save the day, and it’s on Ujiri to make that into reality.
