It would take a ton of fortitude for Ujiri to surrender a ton of future draft capital to bring Wood to Houston, but if a player of his caliber and physical profile is available, look for the Raptors to potentially land a center that could beef up the rotation for years to come.

Wood is averaging 17.0 points and 11.0 rebounds this season, which comes just a year after he was putting up 21.0 points per night. Wood has proven to be a double-double machine with an improving offensive game. If the Rockets want to build around Green and Sengun, Wood could be on the move.

Christian Wood could alter the course of the Toronto Raptors.

Toronto would need to give up a big name to get Wood (No, Goran Dragic, Chris Boucher, and a pick will not get it done), but his production is not just the byproduct of a bad team. He’s a dominant offensive presence at times, and his skillsets are sorely missing on this Raptors team at the moment.

Toronto may sneak into the postseason when everyone is healthy, but that roster is not capable of making such a deep run. With Wood in the frontcourt, that may end up being a much different story.
