The Toronto Raptors remain as scattershot and impossible to predict as ever, as they followed up a 20-point loss against a Joel Embiid-less 76ers team with a 30-point win against the Hawks without Fred VanVleet. The latest Toronto Raptors odds suggest that 5-3 is on the horizon.

While the San Antonio Spurs were pegged as one of the teams who would be at the forefront of the Victor Wembanyama chase at the beginning of the season, Gregg Popovich has them playing 5-2 basketball early in the year on the back of Keldon Johnson and Devin Vassell.

While many are doubting just how valid San Antonio’s start is and how long it will take before they come crashing back down, the fact of the matter is that this team is not to be taken lightly. Former Toronto youngster Jakob Poeltl will lead this young squad into battle.

Will the Raptors be able to move to 5-3 on the season by taking down a young Spurs team in their own building? Can San Antonio stay hot and reel off yet another surprising victory?

The over-under is 224, with the over and the under both at -110.

Raptors Injury Report

Fred VanVleet, who missed the Atlanta win, and Otto Porter Jr. have both been ruled questionable.

Toronto Raptors vs. San Antonio Spurs Prediction

The Spurs, who have their own injury problems, have crafted a very dynamic offense built around some of their young players. As a result, Toronto would be foolish to waltz into Texas thinking that a victory is imminent.

San Antonio has a history of playing Toronto tough, even when the Spurs haven’t been a contender and the Raptors have been. All of those factors will make this game a close affair, even if Nick Nurse will be favored to pull out a victory when everything is all said and done.
