The Toronto Raptors wasted no time remaking their organization ahead of the 2024 season, swapping Pascal Siakam out and promising some serious structural change. Masai Ujiri’s first opportunity to do so will likely be during the NBA Draft.

After trading away Siakam, the Raptors landed a boatload of future picks that could be used to improve the team, Toronto is looking much better off in this area than they did at the beginning of trade season.

The Raptors have a few first-rounders that can be used to add a future star, but trading for Jakob Poeltl and some other ancillary pieces has them looking for more ways to replenish their collection of assets. As it stands right now, the Spurs hold a great deal of influence over Toronto’s draft plans.

Raptors NBA Draft 2024 picks:

1st-round pick (Top-6 protected or conveys to San Antonio if outside of Top 6)

1st-round pick (via Indiana)

2nd-round pick (via Detroit)

Raptors NBA Draft 2025 picks:

1st-round pick (Top-6 protected or conveys to San Antonio if not in 2024)

Raptors NBA Draft 2026 Picks:

1st-round pick (Top-6 protected or conveys to San Antonio if not in 2024)

1st-round Pick (via Indiana)

The squad is paying the piper after years of aggressive roster improvements. Toronto doesn’t have their own second-round pick in the next three years, as the Jakob Poeltl trade sent their 2023 and 2025 selections to the Spurs to acquire the Austrian big man.

The 2024 second-round selection is in the possession of the Memphis Grizzlies, who took that pick on in the same swap that sent Marc Gasol to Toronto and helped him play an important role in the team’s championship. The OG Anunoby trade helped them reclaim Detroit's pick.

The Toronto front office may look to trade one of their stars this season as they try to get enough future flexibility to remain competitive without bottoming out. This list might be updated if Ujiri shakes up the starting lineup and decides to send the team a message.
