2. Karl Malone (1985)

Malone has done despicable things off the court, and it’s not unreasonable to think of that before one iota of his basketball career is ever discussed. However, those games happened, and Malone established himself as one of the most consistently excellent players in NBA history.

Malone is still third all-time in points scored, won two MVP awards, and was named an All-Star and All-NBA selection 14 times. The Jazz teams he played on never won a ring, but Malone did everything in his power to make sure his squad was in the best position to snatch one.

1. Kobe Bryant (1996)

You knew he would be in. Listing off all of the great moments and accolades attached to Bryant’s name is doing him a major disservice. Kobe remains as iconic a shooting guard this side of Michael Jordan as the NBA has had in decades, and his legacy still endures today.

Raptors fans got a full dose of Kobe in his 81-point game, and every other fanbase has a story about how Kobe took them behind the woodshed. On the court, you can count the players better than him on no more than two hands. The basketball world is still celebrating the legacy he left in his unfortunately short time with us.
