No. 2: Devin Booker

We move from aging stars, potential stars and a fringe star to the creme de la creme, a pair of Top-10 players who would immediately step in and take the No. 1 mantle from Barnes. Devin Booker is the first here, someone who has been in the spotlight because of his sacrificial role with the Paris Olympics team..

Booker is an incredible on-ball shot-creator, shooter and passer, and his defense is earnest and at times truly impactful. He dug in on that side of the ball in Paris and saw success, and his ability to glue together lineups should be a boon for the Phoenix Suns this season trying to maximize Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal around Booker.

That doesn't mean this year is going to be a success in the desert, however. If the Phoenix Suns implode, as they seem to be on the way to doing, the Toronto Raptors will need to bring out a package capable of defeating every other package put forth by other teams. A lot of clubs, including the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs, will be ready with significant offers.

The fit on the Raptors is sublime. Both Booker and Immanuel Quickley have enough size and shooting to work off-ball at times, and giving the Raptors three players capable of creating shots, two of them at an elite level, is the foundation of a contender. Booker is young enough at 27 to grow with this group and compete for titles in Toronto.
