2. Tristan Thompson – 29 years old – C

2019-20 stats – 57 GP – 12.0 PPG – 10.1 RPG – 2.1 APG – .512 FG% – .391 3P% – .615 FT%

At my number two spot on this list, I have another player who Raptor fans are very, very familiar with during playoff meetings against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Tristan Thompson.

Now with Thompson kind of being in the same situation as Whiteside he is currently 29 years old and will remain 29 for the start of the 2020-21 season. Again, with losing guys like Ibaka and Gasol you’re going to be in need of big men and players who can score at a decent rate and rebound a ton. In Thompson, he may not rebound at the same rate as Whiteside but he still averages 10 RPG during the 2019-20 season.

Thompson is a solid center who is used to playing around 30 minutes a night in Cleveland, so bringing him in playing big minutes in a role where the Toronto Raptors could lack, if not having either one of Ibaka or Gasol on the team wouldn’t be such a bad thing at all. (Stats from NBA.com)
