No. 3: OG Anunoby

Anunoby is a great trade option for rebuilding teams and contending teams alike. He currently has a skillset that any team, including the Raptors, would appreciate. The 6-7 OG has the physical traits of an elite defender, which was proven by making the All-Defensive Second Team this season. He also shot 48% from the field and 38% from three last season, making him efficient offensively as well.

Add on that he is only 25 years old, and you’ve got a good all-around player who should get even better in the coming years. For rebuilding teams, he could be viewed as a potential piece to build the team around, if not a true star player. For contending teams, he serves as a great role player who could develop into even more.

OG Anunoby is a valuable asset for the Toronto Raptors.

The only thing that could make teams pause is the years left on his contract. OG is only making around $18.5 million next season, but after next season, he has a player option that he will likely decline to get more money in a long-term deal. Essentially, he has one year left, but for many teams, an extension would likely be viewed as worth it.

The Raptors could very easily keep Anunoby, given his strengths, but if the Raptors were to trade him, they’d likely get a good package of win-now players or future assets in return, depending on which direction they’d like to go as a franchise.
